STORY
Banana Jam Cafe opened in 1999 as a small 45 seater restaurant in the parking lot by Kenilworth station, serving traditional Caribbean food along side burgers and pizza.
In 2010 we moved across the road and expanded to a 200 seater restaurant. With the same Caribbean feel as before we now boast a beautiful garden, an open plan interior with our famous Rum bar, 30 beers on tap
and one of the best brew pubs in Cape town.
Since
1999
In 2014 we started renovations on our kitchen and expanded to house our brand new brewery, Afro Caribbean Brewing Co. We now have an upstairs brew pub and private function venue and make some of the best beer in Africa.
Our 5pm to 6pm famous happy hour is still going strong and you can enjoy discounts on cocktails and craft beer 7 days a week.
